Congratulations on your pregnancy it is such a special time in a woman’s life and we are bombarded with so much information and we don’t know what you can and cannot use, so we have compiled a list of products you can use safely during your pregnancy for your skincare concerns. Always check with your doctor if medically you are ok to take supplements.

ANP Supplements:

The following supplements are very good for mammy & baby to use during pregnancy & after.

Skin Youth Biome: This is a highest quality probiotic and it leads to a healthy birth canal. Reduces allergy in the baby by 50% and improves gut flora thus reducing constipation. Helps with better absorption of nutrients & foods.

Omega 3 Fish Oils: Omega 3 fats are essential for brain development and IQ, a study showed that women who took omega 3 fish oils during pregnancy have children that score higher in tests based on problem solving and information processing abilities. Also promotes a healthy heart, arteries & joints.

Environ:

During pregnancy you can still have a Environ facial but we just tailor it we use sonophoresis only through the probe (no pad placed on your back) and you can still have the soothing Alginate Mask but not have it wired up with great results for the skin.

If you are on a high level of Vitamin A the recommended guidelines are that you drop back to AVST 2 and use this during your pregnancy and if breastfeeding.  If you were rolling before your pregnancy you can continue as the rolling only penetrates the dead skin tissues and doesn’t allow the Vitamin A to go into the bloodstream.  You then must do the step-up system again.

Sometimes in pregnancy clients can develop problematic skin or their already problematic skin can be exacerbated. If this happens don’t despair as we can help with treatments in the salon and homecare products. We would recommend the following treatments & products.

Sebu-Lac Lotion:  Is a non-oily lotion which helps combat the signs of breakouts, improves the texture & tone of break-out prone skin. It also exfoliates dead skin cells and hydrates the skin, is anti-inflammatory and stop skin feeling tight. The key ingredients are Lactic Acid, Urea and Tea Tree Leaf Oil.

Sebu-Clear Masque:  This is a low PH creamy mask that decongests, clears and refines the skin leaving a healthier and smoother skin. Sometimes it can make the condition worse as it is drawing the congestion out and then will re-heal the skin, as we say here the skin doesn’t have a back door, so everything must come out of the skin. This product is not suitable for anybody who is allergic to Aspirin as it contains Salicylic Acid. The key ingredients are Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid and Tea Tree Leaf Oil.

Wear SPF daily as the hormone levels can increase pigmentation and this can react to sun, heat and blue light from the computers.

Jane Iredale:

As Jane Iredale is skincare make up and is 100% mineral it is perfect to use during pregnancy as you might have some reactions or sensitivity to your normal makeup. It doesn’t contain talc or any other additives, is non comedogenic & oil free so you won’t get any breakouts from using this. Also, most of our foundations (liquid & powder) contain broad spectrum UVA & UVB SPF. It contains Vitamin C & Zinc Oxide which are anti-inflammatory.
